Field Trips & Events
FALL 2016 - U.S. Space & Science Center Huntsville, AL
MAY 2017 - Ark Encounter Camping Trip Corinth, KY
END OF YEAR 2017 -
We enjoyed a life science themed trip to the Tennessee Aquarium! Our students experienced classes and a private tour through both amazing buildings. It was a great time of learning and building relationships!
Frist Museum & Christmas Exchange
Our students attended a private tour of the Nashville Frist Museum of Art finishing up with a Christmas lunch and gift exchange. Prior to the trip they participated in our first annual "Wear Your Favorite Christmas Sweater to Classes" Day during our last day of classes before the end of first semester. A great way to wrap up the year!
Our students adopted a deployed soldier and sent Christmas tree decor, treats, gifts, and notes of encouragement! This year our students touched the life of a sergeant in Afganistan. It was a joy to receive corespondance from the soldier a few weeks after our care package arrived!
Carter House and Carnton Plantation
Our students experienced Tennessee history come alive as they toured the historic homes of the tragic and significant Civil War Battle of Franklin. Touring the grounds, dwellings, and cemeteries our students witnessed what life was like during that time period and the impact that two local families had on service men, their community, and our nation.
